HELPER - Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Claudia Jean Ball Bruno, age 73, passed away peacefully Oct. 19, 2013 at her home in Helper.
She was born March 31, 1940 in Glen Falls, N.Y., to Owen Clifton and Ethel A. Barrows Ball.
Married James V. Bruno, Aug. 24, 1957 in Carmichael, Calif. James and Claudia renewed their wedding vows on their 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries.
Claudia enjoyed gardening and especially loved spending time with her family. Her greatest love next to her husband was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her children, Anthony Bruno, Joseph (Anna) Bruno, both of Helper; in-laws, Josephine (Rex) Miller, Carmichael, Calif.; Mary Ann (Steve) Niephoth, Rocklin, Calif.; Michael (Karla) Bruno, Byron, GA; grandson, Christopher Michael Beal, Helper; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Bruno; brothers and sisters.
Memorial Vigil Service, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, 7 p.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church, Helper. Family will be at the church one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends may share memories of Claudia at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
