EAST CARBON - Our loving mother, Laura May Kinsey McCormick, age 73, passed away Oct. 20, 2013, due to an automobile accident.
She was born Dec. 17, 1939 in Uravan, Colo., to Carl Archibald and Eleanor Paul Kinsey.
Laura married the love of her life, Duwayne McCormick, Sr. on Aug. 22, 1953. He died Oct. 30, 1997.
Laura was very talented with arts and crafts and enjoyed making personal hand-crafted items for family and friends. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews. Her beautiful flower gardens are a testament of her love.
She is survived by her children, Duwayne McCormick, Jr., East Carbon, Randy McCormick, Delta, Colo., Debra Martin, Albuquerque, N.M., Richard (Chris) McCormick, Moore, Okla., her grandchildren, Tracie, Travis, Jacob and Justin McCormick, Colorado, Russell Martin, Michigan, Michael and Stephanie Martin, New Mexico, Charles McCormick, Oklahoma, and Michael McCormick of Pennsylvania; step-father, Carl Pryor, Grants, N.M.; brother, Carl (Eleanor) Kinsey, Bluewater, N.M.; sister Arlene Fetzer, Grand Junction, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Duwayne McCormick; parents, Carl and Eleanor Kinsey; brothers, Robert and Roy Don Kinsey and one sister, Betty Fredericks.
Laura's wishes were to be cremated. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local First Responder Organization. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price, Utah where friends may share memories of Laura at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
