Family members, friends and many in the community came out to A Walk for Shaniel on Saturday morning in Price. The event was put together by family members of Shaniel Oliver Donaldson, who was killed in a murder-suicide in Price on Feb. 10. Family members of Shaniel spoke to a crowd, estimated to be over 150 people, about her life and about the dangers of domestic violence. Bracelets and shirts with Shaniel's name were made available for purchase with the proceeds going to the local women's shelter. A release of balloons in remembrance of Shaniel was done shortly before the walk along the Price River Trail started. Amie Sorensen, Shaniel's sister, said the turnout for the event from the community was "very overwhelming".
