Helper moonscape close to paving

Although this still looks like a picture a lunar rover might send back to NASA, there are signs that south and north Main Street in Helper are close to being paved over soon. Deep trenches for the new water and sewer lines have been filled in, while manhole covers and other access fixtures jut out from the gravel. Nielson Construction equipment has already been doing preparation work for curb and gutter here and elsewhere in town where excavation has been happening. Main Street and Uintah Street are top priorities for completion. If all goes according to schedule, there should be blacktop appearing by the end of next week.
