David Hills talks to students about the life of Rachel Joy Scott, a student killed during the school shootings at Columbine High School in Colorado in April 1999. Rachel's Challenge is a series "of student empowering programs and strategies that equip students and adults to combat bullying and allay feelings of isolation and despair by creating a culture of kindness and compassion," according to information available on rachelschallenge.org. Towards the end of the school year, students, as well as residents and businesses in the community, will come together to form a large paper chain that can be a large as a football field.
