Carbon High X-Country runners compete with top talent at Murray Invitational

The Carbon High boys and girls cross country teams had a chance to compete with some of the best runners in the state at the Murray Invitational on Friday.

For the boys team, Garrett Marsing took sixth place overall with a total time of 15:39.7. He was followed by teammates Trey Richardson (19:03.5), J.W. Broadbear (19:38.4), Andrew Gagnon (19:50.2), Chris Shaw (21:53.4) and Dalton Latimer (22:15).

For the girls team, Giovanna Chiara finished in 22:09.9 and followed by teammate Abbi Powell with a time of 22:54.3.

The teams will next compete at the Uintah Invitational on Sept. 11.
