Despite returning plenty of experienced players this season, Helper Junior High football head coach Phil Howa said he wasn't sure how things would play out.

After a season opening 24-6 win over rival Mont Harmon last week, Howa now has a clearer view of the team's potential.

"The boys did what we asked of them and they played well on both sides of the ball," said Howa. "It's been fun to watch them come together so far."

Helper, who will not host any home games this season, will travel to Canyon View on Wednesday, Sept. 11 for a game starting at 3 p.m.

Mont Harmon will host San Rafael Junior High on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
