PRICE - Ronald C. Giacoletto was born on Aug. 1, 1949 to Lorraine DeCola and Carlos Giacoletto, in Price.
He passed away at home on Sept. 2, 2013 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer with his loving and caring partner, Kathy Pugliese by his side.
Ron was a man of many facets. He was a gifted artist, student athlete, veteran, meat cutter, coal miner, business owner, and Mason. Ron always demonstrated a dedicated attitude and strong work ethic in every endeavor he pursued. He enjoyed traveling, America's great past time baseball, had an appreciation for great ballparks and home runs, was an avid reader, an exceptional chef and host, a talented gardener, and loved to find the humor in life.
Ron is survived by his three loving daughters, Heather (David DeVisser), Seattle, Wash., Holly, San Diego, Calif., Kristin (Ronnie Valencia), Salt Lake City, and his tenacious granddaughter Sophie. Ron is also survived by an extended family in Kathy's three children Chris, Jeff, and Angela, their families, and Stirling and Annie Wilson whom he dearly loved, Annette and Bryant Hanson, and John Bonacci and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jon K. Thompson, Jr.
Funeral service, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Saturday one hour prior to services. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Ron at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
