PRICE - JOYCE CALL Semken CRAIG Edwards, age 87, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, while residing at the Heirloom Inn.
Joyce was born Sept. 17, 1925 to Elworth Anson and Myrtle Deane Anderton Call in Salt Lake City.
She married Charles Henry Semken on Jan. 2, 1948, they later divorced. Later married Calvin Willis Craig on Jan. 22, 1977 in the Provo Temple. Calvin preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1987, while they were serving on a mission in Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joyce later married Grant Edwards and he also preceded her in death.
Joyce attended schooling and was a certified book keeper and later attended schooling for nursing and subsequently worked as a LPN. She served five missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which included full time missions in Canada and Hawaii and temple missions in the Provo, Mount Timpanogos and Manti Temples. She served in numerous church callings including a stake relief society president.
Joyce is survived by her children, Michael (Francine) Semken, Orem, Shanna (William) Taylor, Price, Renee (Oliver) Moore, Gig Harbor, Wash., and preceded in death by daughter Susan (Steven) Blake, American Fork; stepchildren, Krisan, Kenneth and Carole; siblings, Norma, Beth, Eric, Lee and Lynn; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Stephen Prinvale; sister, Dorothy; parents and grandparents.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Price Fourth LDS Ward (545 E. 400 N.) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
