Letters to the Editor
Spread love instead
Mr. Warren, I seriously want to thank you for your entertaining rants about America. I always know that your editorials will give me a good chuckle.
Just for your information there are two subsets commonly referred to as the founding fathers-the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the framers of the Constitution. Many of the founding fathers owned slaves. Nine of the delegates were married more than once. One had 15 children by two wives. Four were "confirmed bachelors" and many of the delegates had children conceived outside of "their perfect nuclear family unit of the time." A few of the founding fathers were anti-clerical Christians and others were deists - definitely not what you would refer to as respectful Christians.
So Mr. Warren, as a God-fearing Christian living the credo of Under God We Trust---Why must you spew so much hate all the time?? I think it's time for you to leave East Carbon and smell the real roses of life. Instead of waiting for Armageddon, why not try doing something nice for someone for a change, including yourself.
Real Christians spread love and decency and do whatever they can to improve their own lives-not worry about everyone else's.
