Hanging new exhibit at Mining, RR Museum
Helper Mining and Railroad Museum Director Jim Boyd (left), and Arts and Music Festival co-chairs Dave Johnson and Kristen Taylor are busy Tuesday hanging a new exhibit. The 16 paintings on display were created by Utah artists funded by the Works Progress Administration during the Depression of the 1930s. The exhibit will have a special opening Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. It will be preceded by another event outside the museum at 7 p.m. That will be the dedication of the outdoor mosaic that was created last year as a collaboration among professional artists and young Helper students.
