HELPER - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor and longtime friend, Robert Joseph Limone, age 69, passed away July 29, 2013 after a month long battle with cancer.
He was born May 30, 1944 in Price to John Carl and Enis Busato Limone.
On June 17, 1967, he married Sharon Christensen in Helper and together they raised their family in Helper where he was a friend to all. Bob was a lifelong resident of Helper and an avid supporter of his community and his grandchildren in all their sporting and school activities. Bob dedicated his life around his family and friends and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding four wheelers and going to Wendover. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, whether it be cutting the lawns for the elderly with his grandsons, working on vehicles with his best friend Jimmy or cheering on his grandkids.
Bob loved to "B.S." and everyone was honored to have him as a friend. He was a tireless worker and a retired member of the Untied Mine Workers of America, Castle Gate Local # 8622. For over 46 years he volunteered for the Helper City Fire Department and also worked alongside many dear friends at Helper City. Bob left his mark wherever he went and he will be dearly missed by his family and a community of friends.
Survived by his loving wife and constant companion, Sharon Limone, Helper; son, Carl (Barbara) Limone, Paonia, Colo; daughter, Sueann (Matt) Riley, Helper; two sisters and one brother, Nora (Ken) Larsen, Richard (Bonnie) Limone, Bonnie (Tony) Slavensky, all of Price; grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel, Megan, Dominic, Cryslen, John, Cody, Donte, Teagan, Aidan and Malayah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother John.
Funeral service, Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell's Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
