A taste of the Caribbean in Price

Price's weekly Culture Connection concert lived up to its title Thursday, with the Los Hermanos de los Andes band performing on stage and a buffet of Dominican Republic cuisine on the side. Students from the Caribbean island nation have been studying at USU Eastern's Price campus this summer. They thought it would be fun to treat their host community to a little home cooking. Judging by the length of the line, members of the community agreed it was a good idea. The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti. It is where Christopher Columbus landed in 1492.
