A Price woman was killed and a Magna man seriously hurt early Sunday in a single vehicle accident on a switchback mountain road above the town of Scofield.

Public safety officials discovered the body of Brooke Tomadakis, 22, after she was ejected from a Dodge pickup as it fell approximately 150 feet from Pondtown Road, said Carbon County Chief Deputy Tom Stefanoff.

Stefanoff said Tomadakis was traveling with two others, Alvin Carter, 27, of Magna and an unidentified third person. Their truck reportedly lost traction on the rear end while descending a steep curve and rolled.

"All three occupants were ejected," said Stefanoff.

Carter was transported via Air-Med to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where his condition is unknown. The third person was reportedly taken by private vehicle to an unidentified medical facility.

The driver of the vehicle has not been identified and the incident is under investigation. Any pending charges will come from the Carbon County Attorney's Office once the investigation is complete.
