In what looked to be another hard luck game that would ultimately lead to another tough loss, the Price American Legion baseball team had other ideas.

After falling behind West Jordan 3-0 after the first inning, Price answered by overcoming the deficit and took a 6-5 lead midway through the game. Price added an important insurance run in the top of the seventh inning on their way to a 7-5 win over West Jordan on Friday evening on the road.

Pitcher John Grasso threw five innings to pick up the win while Steven Zamantakis got the save for Price.

Kellen Trujillo had two key hits including a double and a triple for Price.

Assistant coach Joe Rhoades said it was nice to see the team battle back after falling behind early in the game.

Price (9-8 overall, 5-2 league play) hosted Granger on Monday evening and will host rival Helper at 4 p.m. at the USU Eastern Baseball Field.

"Hopefully the team will be ready the week after getting a good win," said Rhoades.
