Coming off a 5-0 record and a championship in their own tournament last weekend, the Helper American Legion baseball won't be basking in the limelight of their success.

Instead, the team is focused on what they can do to improve including a strong focus on the little things that can lead to a win for the team.

"We just need to focus on playing baseball like we know how to play," said Colton Greener, who hit an RBI double late in the championship game against Cyprus to give Helper the lead. "We need to stay confident and continue to make plays out on the field."

Helper will play host to West on Saturday, June 29 at Noon at the Helper Baseball Field.

Jarod Lessar, who threw a no-hitter against Price last week, said a focus on fixing mistakes will help carry the team forward.

"We have to learn from our mistakes and just keep playing hard from here on," he said.
