CASTLE DALE - Mavis Deanne Jones Stone, age 68, passed away June 17, 2013.
Mavis was born July 11, 1944 in Blanding to Lloyd and Margie Black Jones. She married Mike Stone on Nov. 18, 1962.
Her hobbies included fishing, quilting, taking pictures, gardening in vegetable and flower gardens, hiking, and bird watching. She also enjoyed talking to people, but what she loved the most was being with family.
Mavis is survived by her husband, Mike; two children, Todd (Sherrie) Stone, Gillette, Wyo., and Tina (Chris) Petersen, Stockton; two siblings, David (Dalegene) Jones, Castle Dale, and Kate (Rick) Keele, Price; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Margie Black Jones.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale (720 North Center Street). There will be a viewing Friday at the mortuary at 10 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2651 Spanish Valley Drive, in Moab.
