PRICE - Vaughn Carl Shaw age 63, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Castleview Hospital. Vaughn was born Jan. 14, 1950 to Eugene and Vera Vogrenic Shaw in Price.
Vaughn spent his entire life in Price. He attended school in Price graduating from Carbon High School in 1968 and then attending College of Eastern Utah for two years and then Utah State University, Logan graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. He taught at Carbon High School for 20 years. He was retired at the time of his death.
Vaughn's greatest joy was spending time with siblings, nephews, nieces, and his many cousins. He enjoyed camping, travel, family reunions and playing games. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by a brother, Glenn (Mona) Shaw, Diamond Bar, Calif., and sisters: Margery Pruitt, Farmington, N.M. and Annette Savely, Azusa, Calif., and many cousins and friends in Price.
Preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Vera Vogrenic Shaw and a brother Ronald Shaw.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 2900 East Airport Road.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 E. 100 S. in Price. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guestbook and share memories of Vaughn at www.fausettmortuary.com.
