DWR will hold fishing events at Helper's Gigliotti Pond this week

The Division of Wildlife Resources and the U.S. Forest Service will sponsor a free fishing event for persons with disabilities At Gigliotti Pond in Helper Wednesday. Anyone in the Castle Country area with a disability is invited to particpate.

The disabilities event is not open to the public at large.

Special invitations have been extended to the students of Castle Valley Center and clients of Active Re-entry. Rods, reels, bait, supervision and lunch will be provided for all particpants.

The event will run from 9 a.m. until noon.

On Saturday, DWR will host a community fishing event for the general public. This event will run from 9 a.m. until noon. The division will provide rods, reels, bait and supervision.

Kids under 14 will receive a ticket for our noon raffle, when we will give away a variety of prizes, consisting of an assortment of fishing tackle up to and including a brand new rod and reel. This event is free of charge.
