	East Carbon City will hold a municipal election on November 5, 2013
for the purpose of electing a Mayor (4 year term) and two (2) City
Council positions (4 year terms). Those wishing to file a Declaration
of Candidacy may do so between June 3, 2013 and June 7,2013. 
Candidates shall file the Declaration of Candidacy in person with the
City Recorder at the East Carbon City Hall, 101 W. Geneva Drive, East
Carbon, Utah between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Candidates
must meet the following qualifications as per UCA 20a-9-203:
	1.	Registered voter of the municipality.
	2. 	Resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive
		immediately before the date of the election.
	3.	In accordance with the Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6,
		mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or
		any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective
		franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold 
		elective office is restored.
	The polling place for this election shall be the East Carbon Senior
Citizens Center.
