PRICE - George Thomas Lemons, age 90, passed away May 13, 2013 in Price.
He was the youngest of five children born to Anthony and Alice Cuddigan Lemons on Dec. 13, 1922 in Harvey, Ill.
George married the love of his life, Violet Viktora on Feb. 7, 1948 in Crown Pointe, Ind. They shared 51 beautiful years of marriage prior to her passing on March 7, 1999.
George was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. During his working years, George was employed at Whiting-Swenson as a draftsman for 28 years and was an active member of the Whiting Men's Club. If you wanted a drawing done and printed exactly to scale, George was your man.
In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the harmonica, bowling and golf. Most of all Dad had a great love for his wife Violet and his family. He took tremendous pride in all of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. We love you Dad and you will be greatly missed.
Survived by his children, Alan (Barbara) Lemons, Orangeville; Cheryl Spears, Price; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Phil) Dulude, Orangeville; Cindy (Brian) Dulude, Salt Lake City; Jennifer Spears, Price; Jeffrey Spears, Cottonwood Heights; three great grandsons, Gregory, Tyson and Damon Dulude, all of Orangeville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Abe Runyan, North Judson, Ind., Tony (Clara) Viktora, Winamic, Ind., Shirley Viktora, Las Vegas, Nev; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, Violet Lemons; son, Gregory T. Lemons; brother, William Lemons; sisters, Helen Griffith, Catherine "Peg" Cunnea, and Bernice Grenier; and great- granddaughter, Autumn Davis.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and doctors at Castleview Hospital and the ambulance crew for the wonderful care given to our Dad.
Funeral Mass, Friday, May 17, 2013, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 North Carbon Ave., Price. Vigil service Thursday evening 7 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main, Price. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery, Price.
