2 arrested after car
plunges off Hwy 10
One woman was injured and two men were arrested after their car swerved off Highway 10 and plunged about 30 feet into a wash south of Price Tuesday afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said the wreck happened shortly after 2 p.m. Casey Jensen, 43, Huntington, was driving northbound when the Pontiac Grand Am crossed over into the southbound lane, then continued over the edge of the steep embankment.
Johnson said Jensen had a bloody nose from air bag deployment but no other injuries.
A female passenger, whom Johnson did not identify, was injured and taken to Castleview Hospital in an amublance.
A team of rescuers had to lift her up the hill in a carrier to the ambulance at the top.
A third passenger, identified by the Carbon County Jail as Nathan Redmond, 42, of Castle Dale, was arrested on charges of outstanding warrant, possession of paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance.
The driver was booked on charges of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and improper lane travel, Johnson said.
