Letter carriers and hunger have one thing in common: neither is affected by the season. Which is why, on Saturday, May 11, letter carriers will collect food to help people this summer during the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, sponsored nationally by the National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with National Rural Letter Carriers' Association and United States Postal Service.
Carbon County Food Bank asks the public to help the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive by donating food on Saturday. Utahns can donate by placing bags of non-perishable food by their mailbox for pickup by their local letter carrier the Saturday morning. While Utah Food Bank distributes food statewide, locally donated food will go to Carbon County Food Bank and stay in our community.
