WELLINGTON - Art F. Barker, 75 died March 31, 2013 in Wellington surrounded by his family.
Art was born Oct. 22, 1937 in Wellington to Roy M. Barker and Ferne L Foster Barker. Art married Nellie Anne Bay on Dec. 15, 1956 in Durango, Colo.
Â Art was a life long Surveyor, working in the Pipeline, Construction and Engineering fields. He worked on most major pipelines in the United States and Chile. From 1956-1972 Art and his young family worked and lived in over 25 states.
Art settled his family in Wellington and worked as Price City's Engineer. He worked as the Carbon County Surveyor for many years. Art started his own surveying business, Barker and Associates in Wellington where he retired.
Art enjoyed spending time with his family and friends camping, fishing, water skiing, 4-wheeling, and supervising the many construction projects.
Â Art is survived by his wife Nellie, children Chad (Traci) Barker, Karon (Wendell) Barker-Griffin, Gary (Michele) Barker and special nephew Kirk (Christy) Gibson. mother, Ferne Barker Meredith. grandchildren Nick, Chris (Alisha), Mindi and Greg Barker, Jeremy Andreini, Matthew Juliano, Ashley Noyes, Dajene and Bodie Barker. great grandaughters Annabelle and Emma Leigh Barker, Wilma Meredith and Daisy Slavensky.
He is preceded in death by his younger brother "Little Roy", sister Bonnie Lee Gibson, father Roy M. Barker and John W Meredith.
