HELPER - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Lois Eunice McConnell Newbold, 85, passed away March 19, 2013 at her home.
She was born Aug. 11, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Otis A. and Bertha Hart McConnell.
Lois married her sweetheart, Gordon H. Newbold July 26, 1945 in Salt Lake City and they celebrated 65 loving years together before his passing on Aug. 27, 2010.
Lois's life revolved around her husband, family and church. She was an inspiration to all and her generosity will never be forgotten. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Price Chapel for their genuine concern and support over the past years.
Survivors include her daughter, Jerri (Elliott) Burgess, Price; son, Larry (Lynn) Newbold, West Valley; 5 grandchildren, Randy (Connie) Burgess, Price, Kristen (Todd) Leech, Collinsville, Ill., Melissa (Dave) Herrera, Price, Shelly Weeks, Oak Harbor, Wash., Tamara (Joe) Butcher, West Valley; seven great-grandchildren, Whitney Leech, Granite City, Ill., Brittney Leech, Collinsville, Ill., Nichole Larsen, Castle Dale, Heather Harvey, Cody Burgess, Tyler Herrera, all of Price, Emily Hall, West Valley; four great-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gracie Werkmeister, both of Granite City, Ill., Ryden and Roxy Larsen, both of Castle Dale; two sisters, Ruth Booth, Salt Lake City, and June Irwin, California and several nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister-in-law, George and Elva McConnell; brothers-in-law, George Irwin and Alfred Booth; grandson, Bobby Newbold and nephew Rick Booth.
Funeral service, Saturday, March 23, 2013, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price). Family will be at Mitchell's Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt.
