The Carbon High softball team is trying to stop the errors and miscues which have hurt them in the early season preventing them from staying in games.

The Lady Dinos dropped two games in the past week including a 4-0 loss to Pine View and a 14-7 loss to Bountiful.

CHS head coach Kirt Nunley said the team allowed three unearned runs against Pine View in the fifth inning, breaking what had been a 0-0 game up to that point.

The Pine View pitching shut down the Carbon offense as they struck out 13 times while getting only four hits in the game.

Against Bountiful, Carbon allowed 11 runs in the first two innings before finally getting on the board in the fifth with two runs. The Lady Dinos added five more runs in the next two innings by stringing together a number of hits .

Nunley said his team is looking to play better as they will host their first home games of the season this week against Union (Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.) and against Park City (Thursday at 3:30 p.m.) at the Carbon High Softball Field.
