PRICE/SAN PEDRO, Calif. - My beloved little pirates's dream, Amelia Salome Madrigal Gorlitz, age 89, died March 7, 2013 at Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City, Calif.
She was born Oct. 22, 1923 in Sunnyside to Rufino and Lucy Alcala Madrigal.
Amelia is survived by her husband Heinrich "Henry" Gorlitz, children, Richard Sisneros, James Hermenegildo, Stella Schindler, Maxine Crownover; brother, Bill (Betty) Madrigal, Price; the Durazo clan (Matriarch Maggie), sister-in-law, Emma Madrigal, Portland, Ore; numerous grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, Little Jacob, and the apple of her eye, Aliya Lewis.
Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jim, Frank, Paul, Alex, Sally, Mercy and Maggie
Farewell my love. Thank you my love, it was a wonderful 48 years.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, March 16, 2013, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Friday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
