Despite youth, Lady Dinos look to take next step

With young players all over the diamond for the Carbon High girls softball team, head coach Kirt Nunley wants his team to focus on finishing strong and not fret over the early season results.
After dropping their first two games of the season on the road to Emery (6-3) on March 5 and to Grand (9-5) on March 6, Nunley said he was pleased with the fight that the Lady Dinos showed despite being down early in each game.
"Our youth on the field is showing but they came back and battled back into each game and I'm proud of the heart they showed," Nunley said.
The Lady Dinos will finish their three game road trip to start the season with a game against Pine View on Thursday at 4 p.m. They will play their first home game on Wednesday, March 20 against Union at 3:30 p.m.
