PRICE - Raquel "Rachel" LaForett Sanchez passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter Ruby Timothy at the age of 101 on March 4, 2013.
She was born in Columbine (Taos County) N.M., on June 22, 1911 to Donaciano and Miqulita Martinez LaForett. Married Leopoldo Sanchez July 28, 1932 in Questa, N.M.; Leopoldo passed away on Nov. 3, 1977.
Rachel was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She helped all her family and we will all miss her great home cooking and wonderful sense of humor. She loved and lived life to the fullest.
Survived by daughters, Mary Potter (Denver, Colo.), Irene Valdez, (W.Valley City), Ruby (Lionel) Timothy (Price), and sons Arthur Sanchez (Price) and James Sanchez (Price). Preceeded in death by parents, husband, two brothers and one sister; daughter Angelina Rael, sons, Vito and John, all of New Mexico; three grandsons and three granddaughters.

A celebration of Rachel's life will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main Street) Price. Family will be at Mitchell's Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
