"Thurgood is a dedicated and contributing member of this community," says Karon Mills, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. "We look forward to working with him this year."

Steele will continue to be an active part of the executive board for the coming year, as the past president.

"Working with Nichole during her tenure on the Board of Governors of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce has been a rewarding and educational experience for me," stated Marjorie Jones, Chamber office manager. "She has wonderful insights into the community and a terrific presence. We appreciate everything she has done for the chamber."

The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is a network of businesses who, as members, pool their resources to improve the business community at large. The group sponsors networking and educational opportunities, such as monthly luncheons and seminars, as well as serving as an information clearinghouse for business news and promotion.

The chamber works closely with the Economic Development office to ensure the continued growth of our community as well as the Carbon County Travel Bureau to enhance the promotion of our area as a vital tourist destination.
