MESQUITE, Nev. - Garn Andrew Anderson, 87, passed away Feb. 15, 2013 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1925 in Richfield, to Earl Andrew and Happy June Nielson Anderson. He married Faro Simonsen on Feb. 20, 1945 in Richfield.
Garn served in World War II and Korea, in the U.S. Navy for a total of six years. He was vice-president of First Interstate Bank. He served for three years on the Banking and Finance Committee under Governor Scott Matheson. He was part-owner of a office supply store in Price.
Survived by wife, Faro; son, Russell L. Anderson, both of Mesquite; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister: Earline Bartley.
Preceded in death by parents and brother, Bryce Anderson.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary after 10 a.m. Military rites by the V.F.W.
