She was born in Burlington, Iowa on March 23, 1917 to Stella Kasonavich and William Vinovich. She was raised by her mother and step-father Louis Marvosh.

Married Joe O'Brien on May 6, 1939 in Price. He was the love of her life. She and Joe moved from Standardville to Dragerton in 1948.

In 1994 they moved to Price, where Joe passed away May 14, 1995. Shortly after his death Mary moved into the Heirloom Inn until October 2012, at which time she moved to Sandy Health to be closer to her family.

Mary belonged to the Price Ladies of Elk's and Naomi Chapter # 13 Order of the Eastern Star where she held an office many years.

The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son Scott (Karen) O'Brien, South Jordan; granddaughter, Cori (Nolan) Skiby, West Jordan; grandson, Michael O'Brien, Salt Lake City; two great-grandsons, Cy and Cole Skiby, West Jordan.
