Apply to the BOR

Now that Carbon County has lost Gooseberry it is a good time to apply to the Bureau of Reclamation. This is a call to the new county commissioners to actively pursue a new dam and reservoir.

Colton, Emma Park or Gordon Creek are all potential sites.

Gordon Creek would store the most water, recovering water from 29 tributaries.

Emma Park is a "natural basin" but has infrastructure problems.

Colton would be small and would be less expensive to build, but would need to be dredged often.

Any action would be progress and would benefit the county.
