Search and Rescue learns chilling new techniques

Sheriff's Search & Rescue team members Jason Bennett, Gerald Shiew, Pedro Velasquez and Paul Metelko wait to be pulled from the icy water of a lake near Red Canyon Lodge in Daggett County. The immersion in protective dry suits was part of their training in ice rescue conducted by Rescue 3 International. Also earning certification as ice rescue technicians were Kyle Asay, Kerry Jensen, Kyle Fox, Tony Koss and Levi Jensen.
