Carbon High student Heather Pilling examines a cow heart as part of a University of Utah presentation at the school in Price.

Medical students from the university visited Carbon High last week to talk to students interested in pursuing a career in the health field.

The group explained that just because a student is from a rural area, they should not be discouraged from following their dreams.

After the presentation, local students were able to use authentic medical equipment like stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs. They also watched as the university representatives dissected a cow heart, which is quite similar in structure to a human heart.
