Pinnacle boys move to 5-0 in Region 19 play

The Pinnacle High Boys Basketball team extended their current win streak to four games while moving to the top of the Region 19 standings after two wins last week.

The Panthers went on the road to defeat Rockwell 85-68 on Wednesday and on Friday they defeated Navajo Mountain 97-34.

Javanni Alyzayyat led the Panthers against Rockwell with a season-high 27 points. Taje Richardson tallied a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.

In the win over Navajo Mountain, Jake Hardy led the team with 17 points as five players scored in double figures in the win.

The score and result from their game on Saturday against Monument Valley was not available by press time.

The Panthers are currently 12-2 overall and 5-0 in Region 19.
