Hopes sworn is as commissioner

Thirty-five-year-old Casey Hopes recites the oath of office as Carbon County Commissioner given by Justice Court Judge Elaine Storrs Monday. Hopes, a foreman at Nelco Contractors, becomes the second Republican on the commission. Jae Potter became the first in many decades when he took office in 2011.
