SPRING GLEN - Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and longtime friend, Rose Marie Zemlock Bendetti passed away Dec. 28, 2012 in Price at the age of 96.
She was born Sept. 12, 1916 in New Castle, Colo., to Andrew and Jennie Kogovsek Zemlock.
On March 28, 1936, she married Frank C. Bendetti in Glenwood Springs, Colo. Frank preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1982.
Rose was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was a longtime resident of Spring Glen and a proud member of the Slovenian Home. Rose was a dedicated worker who retired from the Carbon County Courthouse where she worked as a clerk for many years.
Rose was an excellent cook and everyone loved her homemade noodles and potica bread. She shared a great love for cats, especially after the passing of her husband. Her life revolved around her family and her highlight was spoiling the children.
Survived by her brother, Floyd (Tina) Zemlock, Spring Glen; daughters, Sylvia (James) Facer, Millcreek, Wash., Joyce (Mike) Tallon, Lehi; four grandchildren, Michael Facer, Michelle Cambern, Joelle Amaya and Angela Tallon; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jennie Matekovic; and brother, Andy Zemlock.
Funeral Mass, Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 - 7 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Rose at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
