PRICE - Our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Betty A. Dougherty, age 91, passed away peacefully Dec. 26, 2012 at Parkdale Care Center in Price.
She was born Oct. 2, 1921 in Palisade, Colo., to Walter Ferman and Bettie Ann Bryant Rosette.
Married Samuel A. Dougherty May 6, 1942 in Grand Junction, Colo. He passed away Jan. 8, 2006.
Betty worked as a medical and legal secretary for many years. Betty and Sam loved to travel and saw many countries and places around the world. She was a talented artist and loved to sew. Betty was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star Sunshine Chapter 103 in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was a member of the Price United Methodist Church for a number of years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her daughter, MariAnn (Harry) Holder Webber, Tonto Basin, Ariz; son, John (Barbara) Dougherty, Kenilworth; granddaughter, Heather Dougherty, Palm Desert, Calif; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Dougherty; parents and five brothers.
Memorial service, Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, 11 a.m. Price United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to service at the church. Betty will be entombed with her loving husband in the Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colo., at a later date.
