HELPER - Our loving father, grandfather and friend, Johnny Thomas Kosmack, age 77, passed away peacefully Dec. 24, 2012 surrounded by his family at home in Helper.
He was born Dec. 9, 1935 in Bowie, Colo., to Anton Paul and Anna Sodja Kosmack.
Married Connie Johnatakis in Price on Feb. 5, 1965. She died May 14, 2007.
Johnny enjoyed family gatherings, especially ones that involved food, treasure hunting at garage sales and the D.I. He also enjoyed his regular trips to Grand Junction and trying to solve all the world problems with his best friend Lee Rutherford.
Survived by his sons, Kirk (David Reynolds) Kosmack, Cranston, RI, Tom (Stacey) Kosmack, Price; Sherri Kosmack, Seaside, Ore; grandchildren, BreAnne Curtis, Ashton Ellis, Carsyn Kosmack, McKay Ellis, Kyle Kosmack and Ty Kosmack.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie; infant son; three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral service, Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, 10 a.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 - 7 p.m. at Mitchell's and Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Johnny online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
