The Carbon High wrestling team secured their first big win of the season at the Juab Duels over the weekend.

The Dinos took first in their division of 12 teams and were led by a handful of strong performances.

Senior Lane Neese, wrestling at 160 lbs, went 8-0 at the duels. Senior Kahill Hunt, wrestling at 145 lbs, went 7-1 and freshman Bradley Chatterton went 5-2 while wrestling at 106 lbs.

Head coach Steve Woodhouse said the team performed well at the duels and spent plenty of time watching many of the other teams during the downtime picking up techniques and looking for ways they could improve.

The Carbon High wrestling team will travel to Union High tonight for a match. The Dinos will return home on Wednesday when they will host North Sanpete with the junior varsity starting at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity beginning at 7 p.m. at the Carbon High Gymnasium.
