EAST CARBON - Johnny Paul Jaramillo, age 63, passed away suddenly Dec. 9, 2012 at Castleview Hospital in Price.

He was born Oct. 22, 1949 in Dragerton to Pablo and Angie Gonzales Jaramillo.

Married Doris Starzel, later divorced.

Johnny Paul was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he was a graduate of East Carbon High School. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Kaiser Steel Local #9958. Johnny Paul was a social butterfly who loved to make everyone laugh.

Survived by his parents, Pablo and Angie Jaramillo, friend, Gloria Lopez, all of East Carbon; children Jeremy and Lisa; two brothers and three sisters, Harold Jaramillo and Jani, Price, Jerry Jaramillo, Spring Glen, Valerie Sanchez, Barbara (Jeffery) Thomas, both of East Carbon, Paula Jaramillo, Gunnison, Colo; and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

He was preceded in death by his sons Quincy and Chad Starzel

Graveside service, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, 2 p.m., Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome to share memories of Johnny at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
