Carbon Dinos falter at tough Bear Classic Tournament

The tough stretch on the schedule continued for the Carbon High Boys Basketball team as they dropped all three games at the Bear River Classic in Tremonton this weekend.

On Thursday the Dinos fell to host Bear River 57-50. The Dinos on Friday faced off against 5A Northridge and lost 79-54 and followed up on Saturday falling to Wasatch 75-71 in overtime.

Senior Derek Young helped lead the Dinos through the tournament averaging 17.6 points per game.

The Dinos (1-4) will continue their season with a home game against Ben Lomond on Saturday at 5 p.m. The game will be a rematch of the playoff game last season which saw Ben Lomond eliminate the Dinos with a 73-52 loss.
