Adopt a Grandparent for Christmas our Mary Kay unit is adopting the residents at local nursing homes and wants to present them with a special gift basket this Christmas. FAFSSO is a support group for Family and Friends of Same Sex Oriented individuals. This group meets to provide a supportive community and safe haven for families and friends who are struggling with concerns and questions about gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual issues that loved ones are experiencing. Tumbling Carbon Rec.'s tumbling program continues on Tuesdays at the Light House High School. You can begin anytime. The fee is $18 per month. The instructor is Pineau Nielson. This program is for all kids ages three and up. .
Men's Basketball Carbon Rec. is taking teams for the upcoming Men's basketball season. The fee is $435 per team. There will be two divisions if there are enough teams. League will be played on Mondays at Carbon High School.
Second Grade Developmental Basketball Carbon Rec. is taking registrations for the upcoming second grade developmental basketball league. The registration deadline is January 10 and the fee is $23. Games and practices will be on Saturday morning's at Creekview Elementary. Emphasis will be on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Kindergarten first grade instructional Basketball Carbon Rec. is currently taking registrations for their Kindergarten, first grade instructional basketball program. The fee is $18. Instruction will begin January 16. Play will be one day a week right after school. Mondays they will meet at Wellington and Pinnacle Canyon, Tuesdays at Sally Mauro, Wednesdays at Castle Heights and Thursdays at Creekview.

Free legal clinics Utah Legal Services has scheduled free clinics the second and fourth Monday of the month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 7th District Court complex, located at 149 East 100 South in Price. Carbon County Animal Shelter AVID chip pet identification is available at the shelter. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Carbon County Family Support and Children's Justice Center offers crisis care for families with children through 11 years old.
The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, support meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence.
Parenting classes are held on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:30. Please call ahead to reserve a spot in the class.
The center is also collecting donations for displaced families. Furniture items will be accepted only if the center has families in need.

Cell phones for seniors - Cell phones are available at the Carbon County RSVP & Volunteer Center in Price, Utah. The program provides free cell phones that allow the participant to dial 911 in emergencies at no cost. For more information call the RSVP office at 636-3204.
Price library Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., closed Saturday and Sunday.
Story time is scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. for toddlers, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 1 p.m.
English as a second language classes are Monday and Thursday at 6 p.m.
Basic literacy classes are scheduled as needed.
