HeadlineCastleview staff train on latest newborn resuscitation methods

Castleview Hospital recently welcomed a visit from Regional Trainers Craig Humes, PA-C, RT and Shane Otis, BSN, RN, who taught evidence-based newborn resuscitation update classes to the staff. Guidelines for newborn resuscitation changed and became effective in 2012 Updated neonatal training is required at health care facilities every two years. Craig and his wife Shane spent several days at the hospital, giving individualized training and instructions on how to implement the recent changes. Those required to attend the training were Castleview Hospital physicians who care for newborns, women's services nurses, respiratory therapists, and house supervisors
