The emergency care of children with special needs can be complicated by the lack of information and medical history necessary to treat their medical condition. To help provide quick, thorough care to these children the South Eastern Utah District Health Department along with Castleview Hospital, Primary Children's Medical Center, Castle Valley Center, EMS and Early Intervention will be available at the health department on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help fill out the necessary paperwork for the program.
This paperwork will then be recorded and provided to EMS staff in case of an emergency involving any child in the database. Those with children facing any medical issues are encouraged to participate and register on Nov. 20.
