How the experts catch fish

Division of Wildlife Resources aquatics biologist Calvin Black shows the news media how it's done as he wrestles with a fighting fish at Scofield Reservoir Thursday. It was the last day of fairly warm weather before the cold front barreled into Castle Country Friday. High temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 40s by Thursday. The was still no ice at Scofield and fish were definitely biting. Use chub meat on a shiny lure or a light-colored jig. Although the fishing was from a boat, the fish were nailed about 20 feet from shore.
