WELLINGTON - Our beloved and loving husband, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Brett DeLaine Barker, age 49, took flight from his earthly existence on Oct. 29, 2012.
He was born Jan. 24, 1963 in Price to Sheldon and Alice Lacy Barker. Married Yvette Fetui, July 24, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nev.
The most important thing in Brett's life was his family. There was nothing he liked better than spending quality time with family and listening to everyone tell family stories. He was very sentimental and loved everything to do with family history. He was very social and a friend to all. Brett was also known to pull pranks on everyone, no matter who they were. His very loving and fun ways will be dearly missed.
Survived by his wife, Yvette, Wellington; sons and daughter, Dustin (Kaitlyn) Barker, Centennial, Colo., Tanner (Arlae) Barker, Price, Nathan Thayn, Wellington, Garrett Jones, Leatapo and Fuatapu Dodd, all of California; grandchildren, Ocean Barker, Price, Nevaeh Barker, Centennial, Colo; his parents, Sheldon and Alice Barker, Beaver Dam, Ariz; sisters, Jonna (Rodney) Jackson, Price, Dandi (Don) Osness, West Valley City, Shannon (Jason) McGavin, Herriman; brother, Mitch (Kris) Barker, Washington; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, and niece, Felicia Jackson.
Funeral service, Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main Street, Price). Family will be at Mitchell's Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Brett online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
