PRICE - Clara Della Clingman Miller, age 81, passed Friday Oct. 26, 2012 at the Heirloom Inn while surrounded by her loving family.
Clara was born in Minersville to Charles Elmo Clingman and Ila LaRue Colton on Dec. 30, 1930. She later married Robert L. Miller on July 15, 1950 in Elko, Nev., and made their home in Price where they raised five children.
Clara dedicated her life to the care of others. She was a very elegant and youthful individual who loved caring for others. She always had a soft spot for the elderly and was always finding new ways to improve her well-being. Clara loved working in her yard and assisting her husband with their properties. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and dancing. Clara also shared a deep love for animals, especially raising cockers, shar-pei's, and bulldogs. She will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rick and the Symbii Hospice staff, the Heirloom Inn who cared not only for our mother but for our family as well, her granddaughter Candice for her special care and also a special thanks to Dr. Etzel and Dr. Weiss.
Survived by her husband "Bob" Miller, Price; sister Mary Lou (Hank) Fernandez, Torrance, Calif; children, Cindy (Lynn) O'Neil, Wellington, David Miller and Trudy Lund, Price, Bobbie (Gary) Grako, Wellington, Brady (Lisa) Miller, Price, Ileen Lowder, Hotchkiss, Colo; blessed with 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with two more on the way, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, baby sister, Bobbie Jean Hildebrand; brothers, Mayne and Charles (Chuck) Clingman; and grandson, Jade O'Neil.
Funeral service, Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price). Family will be at Mitchell's Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Clara at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
