Betty Iona Pace Mortensen passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in Montpelier, Idaho. She was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Price to William Ivan Pace and Margaret Lillace Oliver. She attended school in Price. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crochet. Her pride and joy were her grandkids. She married Mark Ammon Hampton July 1946. After his death she married Nephi Junior Mortensen in October 1967.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husbands Mark Hampton and Junior Mortensen, and her daughter Terry Lynn Hampton. Her surviving family members are two sons Stubby (Arevell) Burge, Woods Cross, Dale (Gayle) Hampton, Lehi, a daughter Marleine (Mike) Sorenson, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 17, 2012, at Noon in the Paris Idaho Stake Center, Paris, Idaho. Viewing will be from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will take place on Oct. 18, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Price City Cemetery.
